Beech Workbench
PROJECT
A working tool that shows the craft behind it.
Made for a private client, this woodworking bench is built from solid beech. Its simple form, substantial top and open structure keep the focus on the timber and the way its parts come together.
We made both the bench and its custom hardware. Its character comes from practical details: the work surface, the supports and the clamping elements. The finished photographs and workshop views offer a closer look at these parts.
An oil finish brings out the natural grain of the beech. It is a piece made for working with wood, with the material and the making clearly on show.
